My afterthought is that many produce are imported from Mexico and South America, which is how they are able to sell at lower costs. If you’re looking for the organic, fair trade, and local food, farmers markets are the best options.

Thanks Jason for your follow up, the filter had just been changed end of October with with time change. I just pulled it out and still clean and new appearance.

When I turn on the heat, my fan starts running right away, never shuts off …

If I reset the themo and then set things to heat, you hear the hearter click on, about 30 seconds later the fan starts running, then you hear the heat system kick on and start humming, runs for 1 minute with heat coming out and then clicks off. Thats when the air just keeps blowing and cold. I let the system just run after that to test if it would come back on, after 5 minutes, it seems to reset and cycle the same, time and time again … Sounds like it a problem with just this unit less its somehow this is the same issue others are having.

Just got a message on the mailing list from Trampas that 503’s heat also isn’t working, but no other reports. I forwarding your comments to the list. I would suggest you call LB property management, so they are aware of your problem.

Cory,

There were some previous threads about the heater. The two most common results were:

1. Filter needs to be changed in your unit (http://textilebuilding.org/2007/02/13/filters-filters/)
2. Buiding issue, especially after it rains

There was a discussion on the mailing list this morning about no hot water, which initiated a service call. However, everyone said their heater worked fine, including my own. I would suggest checking your filter first.
