Anyone interested in making a garden our the roof?

At Tuesday’s HOA meeting, it was brought up about adding solar power to our roof. In reading my RSS feeds tonight, I came acress to San Francisco Solar Map, which then led me to the state’s Go Solar California program, which has a references to solar installers, contractors, and tools.

Doing some more searching, I found LADWP’s Solar Incentive.

I spent a some time trying to work from the roof today, but wasn’t able to find strong wifi access there.

My cell phone’s 236kbps GPRS/Edge connection is a little slow to work all day on and I can’t be on calls when connected. Anyone on the upper floors willing to share their connection there? If the HOA approves, I could run wires from my DSL line and place a wireless router on the roof. This will encourage more people to visit the roof and can be more of a community area, where everyone can hang out.
