My wife parked on the SE corner of 8th St. and Maple Ave. last night and found the car broken into in the morning. Besides a 2″ scrach on the side, this is the first time we really had any problems parking in the area. LAPD says the vandalism reports in the area usually involves someone taking valuables from the car. The person shuffled through threw everything out of the glove box, but nothing was taken.
It took me all morning to rent a Flexcar for my wife for the day, go to LAPD station to file a report, and take it in to fix the window.

As mentioned in our previous meeting, there was concern about the parking easements. Section 4.3 of CC&R’s say:
The easements and other Protective Covenants herein created and established shall be appurtenant to and shall run with, bind and inure to benefit of the land that comprises the Project Property or applicable portion thereof as herein provided the perpetuity commencing from and after the Effective Date.
I don’t see any problems with a perpetual easement, but I’m not a lawyer to fully understand what this means and if there is anyway this can be taken from us.
