Hoa meeting

Can anybody tell me when the next HOA meeting is schedueled? I thought it was every month. It should be. Very frustrating. I am constantly meeting fellow Textilian’s who have issues they wish to raise. But, when and where?

Two weeks ago a film company used our building, unit 801 I believe, for a film shoot. It was official; posted etc. Tomorrow, Aug. 3rd they are shooting an Acura commercial outside (and in?) the building. It appears that our building will be featured. My question is; who negotiated these deals and under what authority. And how much did the HOA receive for the “use of image” of our building? This is somewhat urgent as the shoot is tomorrow. Our dues maintain this building, elevators, facade etc. We should be handsomely compensated for that use. Anyone know anything?

Notice of impending Home Owners Meeting

Per the By Laws;
Home owners are to be given sufficient notice; the minimum time given is 10
days prior to a home owners meeting.

Prior to that notice and just as it did when an election was held,
homeowners are asked to, in writing, list any issues they would like
included.

Per the Board the management company mails the notice of the meeting along
with the ‘agenda, designating any issues that will be voted on. Included
with the memo stating date, time and location of the meeting and the agenda
is a proxy sheet with clear instructions stating that if you can not be at
the meeting your are to designate who you want to deliver your vote, another
words who are you giving your legal proxy to. If you do not have a signed
proxy at the time of the meeting you lose the right to vote; period! (Your
vote can not be divvied up among the home owners who are attending.)

I know I am not alone when I state that I am very frustrated by the lack of
communication either directly from the Board members themselves or through
their proxy, Selma at LB Management.

According to Renea’s message, the HOA meeting is on March 15. I hope the official meeting notice gets out soon because short meeting notices are difficult for many to attend.

What is the status of…

Hi All,

I know that Boards position is to speak with one voice and that’s sound thinking but have you guys come to an agreement on the issue of the Gates?

We are all still very concerned about our Mills Act Status and would like an update to settle our frayed nerves.

Has the City made their inspection?

Have they contacted Isaac and MJW to remedy the situation?

Has the City and the Historical Society sent notices to Isaac and were you copied on this information so that we may all learn what is going on?

FYI Not only has Isaac installed these security gates but in doing so he may have removed the row of tiles to install the housing.

There is also a hole in the east side of the building on the lower wall beneath the glass close to 8th Street?

I am concerned about the timeline for the City to put pressure on Isaac while MJW is still involved. Once MJW closes escrow on the last unit the Historical Society will have only us to turn to and we will end up in a battle over fines and the cost to repair the facade.

So please, if you “guys” have decided on your position please send a quick note out to let us know.

Again, we have not received the minutes from either meeting nor have we received the memo regarding the date in March that the “official” home owners meeting will take place.

I know this is not what is going on but it feels like the Boards silence is equivalent to all of the stalling tactics that MJW has used on us for the last 6 months.

The condition of the building is bordering on deplorable… what is going on?

Upcoming Home Owners Meeting

It is my understanding that after the Feb. 15th meeting of the Board they will decide on a date for the first HOA meeting.

I would like a category added to the list if that is possible…

I know that Renea has been compiling and keeping the list accumulated through our emails but I think this would be a great category to add not problems owners are experiencing but issues they would like to bring up. i.e: Operating Budget for 2007, final costs for 2006, why the office of Sec/Treasurer is one office etc.,

The announcement that LB Management will send, per the BoD will state that the Homeowners have until (date decided by the Bod) to communicate with the Board the issues to be discussed so that the meeting will not meander all over the place but stick to the issues established.
